PERSONAL STATEMENT
I consider myself a quick learner. I pay attention seriously to most problems, and rely on my creativity to handle difficult situations. In my opinion, tough times are opportunity to learn. Flexibility is the keyword, and it help me adjust myself to any unknown circumstances.
Most companies nowadays require an employee of reliable character-building, and I think my ability to face challenges and pressures is going to be a valuable asset to your company.
A company should be flexible and adjustable if it wants to cope with tougher global competition, and it also means that it has to consist of flexible persons as part of its team. Involving me with your team will be a significant step, in both short and long term.
ABOUT ME
My name Priyo Setyono, I was born Sragen (Surakarta – Central Java) on September 20th, 1965. Now I am 36 years old and has married. I have finished elementary, junior and senior midle school in Sragen. In university level, I have graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) – Bandung majoring in Civil Engineering (S-1). After such a periode i have worked, i join the postgraduate program called“ Wijawiyata Manajemen Program” ( MBA for fresh graduate scholarshir program ) IPPM – Jakarta. I have finished my post graduate in 1992.
On the begining of my carrier, i worked for goverment enterprise ( PT. Wijaya Karya - 1989) one of industrial, cotractors, and trade enterprise in Jakarta . Since 1993 when realty bussines becoming a new profitable bussines trend, I have work in private developer enterprise ( PT. Pelangi Buana Utama ). But it doesn’t last long, in 1996 realty bussines being attacked by crisis, and a lot of realty enterprises colaps. In the same time my beloved children suffer from very seriously ill , and finally she passed away. Because of this hard condition, I have resigned from my office and than my family move to Bandung.
In this beautifull town I should think realistically and start to remanage my life. At first, I have to give safeety feeling to my whole family by using my creativity and good analytic thinking. In order to support my family i decide to make smalland unique food shop (K-5), and step by step what i have done work effectively and made a nice progress. Until now, undercontrolled my wife works efficiently and being one of my family income.
Now I have enough spare time to do something better than only support my family but i have to ensure my carrier better than before. Making public institution (NGO) by helping of my frineds who worked in several institution (education and goverment), is the first step i commit to do. This organization concerns in practical technology, enterpreunership, and people economic. Our activity were supported and colaborated by Goverment Institute (STPDN) and Coorporation Institute (IKOPIN) in Jatinangor-Bandung. In the other hand i start being a lecturer in Langlang Buana University-Bandung especially teach about enterpreneurship.
My NGO has covered alot area such as building traditional market, making workshop for employee, sand mining mechanization, etc.
I expand our activity to Sragen (Surakarta) where I was born. Because of my several knowledge and a good reputation in maintaining my NGO in Bandung, some local NGOs in Sragen request me being their advisor.
On October 2000, several Sragen NGO’s support me to join the election of Head of District Goverment (Bupati), represent the NGO’s and profesionals. Their aspiration were accepted by District Parliament (DPRD), and choose me as the right man to fulfill Vice Head of District Goverment candidate. But finally i loose in parliament vote.
Now, I am enterpreuner, lectere, and NGOs activist with open mind, self starter, willing to work hard individually or in a such team.
